Brief Overview
Forming part of the Tonsley Precinct revitalisation, the award-winning State Drill Core Library hosts more than 7.5 million metres of geological samples, offering a glimpse into South Australia’s rich history of mineral exploration over 130 years. Combining storage, administration and operation, the state-of-the-art facility has been designed to resemble a ‘library’ with collection, viewing, administration and ‘educational’ functions.
Key Achievements
Augusta worked closely with the Department of Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) to manage the outcomes of their site acquisition at Tonsley, given Renewal SA had commenced subdivision works and this project was to be undertaken concurrently. She captured relevant interface issues within the General Building Contractor tender documents and Contract.
Augusta also managed the procurement process and sought relevant approvals based on value for the project. During construction, she managed and facilitated interface works to ensure a whole of Government approach was maintained throughout.
The project was delivered under budget and within program.
